Ibérica Labs returns to WATA Factory on 4 June: AI at the centre of the discussion

On 4 June, we will host a new edition of Ibérica Labs at WATA Factory – an internal event where different teams will share research, ideas and new ways of working around some of the technologies that are currently shaping the evolution of the industry the most.

This edition is divided into three main blocks and will also serve to connect two areas we have been working on for some time at WATA Factory: on the one hand, everything related to Kubernetes and Grafana; and on the other hand, the question of how we are beginning to adapt our processes and workflows to developments in the field of artificial intelligence.

Wrapping up the work around Kubernetes and Grafana

The first session serves to wrap up the thematic block we have been working on over the past few months around Kubernetes and Grafana, two technologies that have already played an important role in previous editions of Ibérica Labs.

During this time, we have taken a closer look at how we can better prepare environments for scalability, analyse metrics and gain a clearer overview of what is happening within our applications and infrastructure. This was not only from a technical perspective, but also about being able to detect problems earlier, better understand what is happening, and make decisions on a more informed basis.

The aim of this first part is to share insights, clarify open questions and close this line of work before moving on to the next major topic that we are increasingly integrating more actively at WATA Factory: artificial intelligence.

Integrating AI into our everyday work

After this first session, the day will continue with a presentation that serves as a bridge to the following two blocks, focusing on artificial intelligence and how we are beginning to adapt it to our way of working.

For AI-assisted workflows to function effectively, we need better instructions, better context and a much clearer structure from the outset. That is why we will talk about what kind of documentation and files a project needs so that AI can provide meaningful support, who should be responsible for keeping the information up to date, and how all of this connects with the teams’ daily work.

The idea of this Lab is to continue exploring how we can integrate these tools into everyday work, test new workflows, validate ideas and better understand what makes sense in our projects and what still needs to be further developed.

Sharing results as a team

The day ends with the different teams taking the stage to share what they have learned, what problems they encountered during the sessions, and which ideas they believe are worth continuing to explore within WATA Factory.

And this is probably one of the most important moments of Ibérica Labs. Because often the most useful insights don’t come from theory, but from seeing how different profiles interpret the same changes from very different needs: development, design, architecture, testing or project management.

This is where many ideas really begin to take shape. Which processes can be meaningfully improved, which ways of working can be integrated into real projects, and which things still need further testing before becoming part of everyday work.

See you on 4 June at WATA Factory.
