We’re hiring: Data Engineer

At WATA Factory, we are looking for an Data Engineer to design, adapt and continuously develop quality management processes within an SAP environment, translating functional requirements into stable, well-integrated solutions.

If you enjoy turning business requirements into solid SAP QM solutions and working across connected modules, we’d love to meet you.

YOUR TASKS

  • Build and operate scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
  • Data modelling and design of efficient data structures
  • Integrate diverse data sources, including IoT and ERP systems
  • Work with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Azure Data Factory)
  • Orchestrate data workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow
  • Optimise pipelines for performance, cost and scalability
  • Ensure data quality and security across the pipeline
  • Coordinate with business teams and manage external providers when needed

YOUR PROFILE

  • Strong knowledge of data modelling and ETL processes
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Solid programming skills (e.g. Python, SQL)
  • Experience with workflow orchestration (e.g. Airflow)
  • Understanding of data integration with ERP/business systems
  • Analytical mindset and structured way of working
  • Fluent English (mandatory) and German is desirable
