We’re hiring: M365 Migration Consultant

At WATA Factory, we are looking for an M365 Migration Consultant to take ownership of the technical implementation and operational execution of migrations from file servers to a target Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online / OneDrive) architecture. The focus is on secure, well-structured, permission-accurate data migration, plus support to business areas during and after the transition.

YOUR TASKS

  • Technical execution of migrations (File Server → SharePoint Online / OneDrive)
  • Operational use and management of migrations with ShareGate
  • Development and ongoing execution of PowerShell scripts
  • Analysis and assessment of existing file server structures and permissions
  • Implementation of authorisation concepts in SharePoint Online
  • Identity and group management in AD / Entra ID
  • Support with pre-migration data cleansing
  • Validation of migrated data and permissions
  • Error analysis and post-migration follow-up
  • Hypercare support after migrations
  • Support to business areas during the transition
  • Collaboration on project management (status meetings with IT and business)
  • Task management and tracking in Jira

YOUR PROFILE

  • Very good knowledge of SharePoint Online administration, Microsoft 365, Active Directory (AD), and Entra ID / Azure AD
  • Experience with the ShareGate migration tool and File-Server → M365 migration projects
  • Experience with authorisation models and unit analysis
  • Good knowledge of PowerShell
  • Confident use of Jira
  • Structured, process-oriented way of working in a project context
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in M365/migration projects
  • English proficiency required, German is a plus
