Last Tuesday, 1 October, WATA Factory took part in the business day in Jerez de la Frontera entitled ‘Facing the digital challenge: Innovation, digitalisation and artificial intelligence’.
This event brought together several companies and experts to talk about how digitalisation is changing the rules of the game in the business world. It took place in the meeting room of the Delegation for Employment, Self-Employment, Trade and Enterprise and was the perfect setting to reflect on how technology can improve the competitiveness of companies.
A space for dialogue about innovation
The meeting focused on the question of how digitalisation is driving innovation and changing the competitiveness of companies. Over the course of the day, real success stories were presented and concrete ways in which local companies can help shape this change were discussed. One of the highlights was a European platform that brings together start-ups, investors and research centres. A free training programme on 5G technologies was also discussed, which will soon be launched in Jerez.
In addition, several representatives of the city’s technology sector shared their experiences and explained their visions for the development of new business opportunities, focussing on how local companies can be integrated into these European ecosystems.
WATA Factory: sharing our experience
We from WATA-Factory had the opportunity to talk about our experience working from Jerez de la Frontera in an international environment. Our colleague Eliezer L. -Senior Operations Manager Strategy- spoke about the growth of the company, our projects and how we have established ourselves as an expanding technological reference in the German market. In the session ‘Local experiences of technology companies’ we had the opportunity to present the history of WATA Factory, highlight some of the projects we have been involved in and explain the methodology we use to develop innovative technological solutions of the highest quality.
Eliezer also highlighted our different collaboration models: from independent projects to strategic partnerships, and how we focus on having a skilled, multilingual team that is always up to date through continuous training.
We thank the Commission for inviting us to this productive and inspiring meeting, where we were able to share our vision with other leading technology companies and reaffirm our commitment to innovation and digital transformation.
