We are hiring: Senior Backend Developer for Java

WATA Factory is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team and to develop projects with us. Experience in Microservices and English B2 level.

In 2016, WATA Factory set itself the goal of becoming a leading software consulting company. In the course of this, the portfolio was expanded to include additional programming languages.

One of these programming languages is Java, a technology we have incorporated in order to be able to offer our customers also here the highest quality. Now we want to expand our team by hiring a senior developer.

YOUR WORK WITH US

  • Maintenance and further development of a complex application as well as various microservices in Java.
  • Improvement of existing projects and development of new projects from scratch.
  • Development of innovative solutions.
  • Participation in agile teams.

YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree in Computer Engineering or proven equivalent education.
  • Senior Backend developer with experience (+4 years) in Java. Experience in JDK 1.8 to 1.15.
  • Knowledge of Maven, Tomcat, SOAP and REST.
  • Code quality-oriented approach (TDD, Clean Code, SOLID principles, automated testing).
  • Knowledge and experience in version control tools (Git/Bitbucket, SVN, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience in handling design patterns (MVC, strategy, decorator, composite, view, DTO, domain, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SQL (modeling in Boyce code normal form). Knowledge of NOSQL desirable.
  • Self-confidence, methodical and good communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for current trends.
  • Knowledge and experience with Docker.
  • Good level of written and spoken English (Level B2 or higher). Knowledge of German would be desirable
